# Data Engineer
2023 - 2024
I shifted gears and formally moved into a data engineering role, where I learned and tackled the problems I had seen at their core - data quality. I primarily built data platforms on the cloud for existing on-prem systems, working across building infrastructure, batch integration pipelines, curation scripts and devops pipelines from scratch.

# Data Modelling and Advisory
2021 - 2022
I worked across the data and cloud space, building functional Kimball data models for pharmaceutical, retail and mining clients. I also built data strategies for clients in different NSW government agencies, which was a refreshing experience that gave me a higher level view of how data functions in an organisation.

# Data Analyst Graduate
2020 - 2021
As a fresh graduate, I primarily wrangled data in Alteryx, SQL and Python, then built insightful dashboards on QlikSense and PowerBI for clients in the financial services sector including for credit risk, home loans and regulatory reporting. I also worked on multiple remuneration engagements, building calculations for accurate pay for thousands of employees across organisations.

A machine learning project where I analysed thousands of tweets and researched and applied dimensional reduction techniques such as PCA and t-SNE to see if tweets with racist intent could be visually segregated from the rest. Presented my findings to the rest of the AMSI 2019 batch in Melbourne.

# AI for Migration
2023
I have seen the current state of migration in Australia as a rather inefficient, expensive and cumbersome process where the current ways of doing things are quite outdated - negatively impacting the quality of life of migrants. Trying to find the right product market fit with data driven solutions including use of LLMs.

# On mimesis
Mimesis refers to the mimetic desire. We imitate each other's desires, which often leads to competition and conflict. As such, human desires are rarely 'original' or autonomous but rather always borrowed from others.
